How To Plan A Wedding in Three Months

Missy Saunders

With “engagement season” (Thanksgiving through Valentine’s Day) fully upon us, many of you might be wondering how long your engagement period should last. And while we definitely think you should enjoy being engaged for as long as you want, some of us just can’t wait to march down that aisle. And in South Georgia, it’s with good reason! March, April and May are stunningly beautiful around these parts. We have gorgeous lime green pecan trees in full bloom, plenty of sunshine and none of the nasty bugs or heat that come with the middle of summer.

And while it may seem impossible to plan a Spring wedding at Fritz Farm given that it is only 3 months away,we reached out to all of the vendors on our Preferred Vendor List, and each one said they could accomplish this feat…no problem! With that in mind, here are our best tips for planning your wedding in 3 months…

1. Hire a Wedding Planner: While you may think this is out of your budget, the truth is it will not only save you money, but also lots of stress and headache if you hire a planner. They can help coordinate the rest of the vendors, and even set up and break down on the big day.

2. Ask Friends and Family to help! Whether it’s a DIY project for your centerpieces or someone willing to get ordained and perform your ceremony, friends chipping in is a no brainer way to get through the next three months. Know a graphic designer? Have them design your invitation so you can get it printed and out the door pronto!

3. J.Crew for All of Your Bridal Attire: This shop has it all, from bridal gowns to bridesmaids and groomsmen attire and even something for the ring bearer and flower girl. Bonus? No need to wait 6-8 months for delivery!
